Sweating and Cooking and Ghosts, Oh My!

It's Tuesday, for those of you that don't know that...But it's my Monday...aarrgghh!

Now I don't want to go on about the hot weather, but I will....we reached record high temperatures yesterday, 90 degrees! They even opened the beaches and called back the lifeguards to work... this is so bizarre. Yes you can bring my attention back to these complaints the minute I blog about the cold and the snow! But hey that's not here yet. I can take it.

I did a lot of cooking this weekend. It's something I love to do for those who don't know that. I just don't take the time for it. I made a roast pork, and a pot of chili. These are Fall foods, by the way, not foods I should be cooking in 90 degree weather, but I digress. I'm cooking more since I had my bout with food poisoning because I'm just sooo afraid to eat anything out. I know this feeling will pass but for now, I feel safer knowing where and how the food was prepared keeps my mind at ease.

Another thing that's strange in this weather is seeing all the Halloween decorations out. I took a long walk last night to look at the displays some people put out. Now I like Halloween and I like the occasional ghost and goblin or witch here and there, but some people just overdo it, in my opinion.

Peace

Ok that's enough for now....See ya tomorrow.

so, a full on cemetary in the yard might be too much?

I gotta say, I am loving being able to hang out outside more with the glorious color changes happening. And I'm sure snot dog is happier with the heat then he would be with 4 feet of snow. It'll get here soon enough.

Yes, I too prefer a minimalist approach to Harvest/Halloween decorating.

But Christmas ...

Well, I made a roast Sunday (90F outside!) and I just got done making my infamous chili sauce for hot dogs, so you seem quite normal to me....

I believe I am one of the people who over do Halloween decorations. My fiance, son and I all love Halloween. And since Brae's birthday is in October he loves decorating for Halloween. Umm...so...my house is definitely ghouly ghouly.

I didn't step outside all day yesterday until about midnight.

It was about 85 and muggy as hell.

Fall weather indeed.

I'm freezing. My toes are even cold. Sheez. And you're complaining about the warmth.

When it gets cold here, the gym cranks the heat - so it's 85 in the gym and 32 outside. Like a daily fever that goes away in the fall.

Pool, Some people do it up nice, yet others have stuff just up for the sake of having stuff up..and it's not so nice....Did you just get what I just said??? lol

Patti, aha! So you like Christmas huh?

Paul, I DO BOOGIE!!! (and I read too!);-)

michael, very strange indeed!

christy, if it's done nicely, I don't mind but like I said up thar a bit, some people just throw things together haphazardly and it looks just terrible.

Overdue Halloween??? You can't overdue Halloween!
But is it really Halloween? I mean the East Coast is still in summer, or at least if feels like it. Last time I checked, Halloween was in Fall.

The wife and I will be over shortly to test your cooking skilzs. I'm thinking of bringing my monkey friends too.

People are decorating for Hallowe'en the way they do for Christmas. It's weird. I'm not decorating at all this year, just giving out candy. The little buggers ought to be happy I'm even doing that. I may dress up like Maxine from the cartoon :) lol

I hope you don't get food poisoning again. All the great stuff you're cooking is making me hungry!! How you do make things like that when it's that hot??!! I'm praying for snow already. Cannot wait. lol
