Just Some Thoughts

In the world of the unexpected there is no preparation.
No time to get ready.
It jolts one out of the mundane and into action.
Not the kind of action I expected,
but an awakening to a nightmare, not from one.
Loving memories will sustain and heal me.
It'll be a long road, but one I'm willing and must walk.

Peace

Loss of a loved one- It takes time to get healed, but never heals without leaving a mark. Good memories are the legacy of a lost loved one...

Yes, it will be a long road, but you have already started that journey in an admirable fashion.

sending prayers and good wishes to you, Odat

This is beautiful, Odat. If there is any comfort to be had, it is in the endless store of loving memories and hopefully, in the support of your many friends as well.

There is never any way to prepare for waking to a nightmare, not from one. It goes against all reason and changes you forever.

Just know that you are loved by many, and that your pain touches all our hearts.

I'm really glad you're writing things like this. Somehow, it helps to get it out at times. I know we're all keeping you in our thoughts and hearts, but it helps to know you're plodding through. At least enough to jot some words down here and there.

{Hug}& :) for today and everyday.

Odat, I have not stopped by in a while and did not know any of this shocking news. I am very sorry for your loss, very sorry. I know you have a powerful source of strength from many who share their powerlessness; nevertheless, there is no getting around how hard this is. My prayers are with you.

Preparation for the worse is something we think we need, yet we do not because we don't want to be so prepared...we so enjoy life, we don't want to see the worse. We avoid it. Odat, we all wish you weren't in this. We want to comfort you yet your travel through this darkness stands to comfort us. We all miss you...

There is no preparation for the worst. We have each other as long as we're here, and we care for each other the best we can.

Just remember that the long road, is not a lonely one, you never walk alone.
Strong hearts lift you, and knowing that it is okay to stop and rest is important.
You lift me, to knowing that I can survive. And if I could express myself better, you would know that is immensely important.
You my dear are a gift to this world, you are so strong, and I want you to remember that when you feel the weakness setting in.
Love and HUgs,
