Don't Mess with My Routine :-)

I know I talk a lot about my walk to work and I’m going to speak of it again.
Walking in NYC is a lot like driving in NYC. There’s a certain rhythm to it. You have to go with the flow….weaving in and out and in between others…..and it flows nicely.
If one is not used to doing this….you’re liable to get bunked into…slowed down, angry, etc. I get bothered if one of my fellow co workers wants to walk to the train with me after work…because they interfere with my flow. I have it down pat. I know what route I’m taking, the fastest route to take….the sunny side of the street. I don’t like it when my strategic route gets interfered with. It upsets my routine.

I think I'd like NYC. whenever I get into a crowd I instinctually start to weave and dodge, intent upon finding the stealthiest route through the morass. it's all those decades of waiting tables kicking in...
