Bye Bye My Friend

Have you ever met a person and felt instantly comfortable with them? Even though you know they'd only be in your life for a brief period of time? Someone you just knew in your heart was one of the nicest, kindest and sweetest people you've met in a long time. I did. I just wanted to express that thought today...because it's true and I think that by writing it down and publicly expressing this makes it seem more real somehow. And it is, real.

I want to wish this person all the luck in their new adventure and wish for them nothing but happiness and laughter which they provided me for a brief period of time.

Thank you, be well, stay in touch!
Peace

I always thank god for people like that even if it's just for a moment.

Nice that you publicly acknowledge them.

I do know the feeling and I am glad you too got to experience it. Perhaps I would meet more people like that if I stopped humming MC Hammer all the dang time!

What a cute picture!

That type of person is rare but very valuable. I know a few of them myself.

I always cherish my instant friends, and still remember them many years later. Some relationships are complete in a very short time; that does not make them any less real than those that survive for decades.

I am sure that your short-term friend will be a long-term memory, and that you will be for him or her as well.

Always a little bittersweet - so glad to have them in my life, so sorry that it is so brief. But I'll take it for however long.

i agree with the bittersweet part. You want to cherish the time you did have together but it's hard not to focus on the time you'll miss with that person.

I know it all too well.
