Happy Monkey Monday/Six Word Memoir

Have a wonderful Monday....It's been chilly and rainy all weekend here and I didn't have a chance to add anything to my garden. I wish it would warm up a little. Now that I can have one again, I'm eager to get it going.

Ok, I've decided to take on the six word memoir as many of you have already done. Of course I have a few. There's the light side and the dark side.

Legend has it that Hemingway was once challenged to write a story in only six words. His response? “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.” Last year, SMITH Magazine re-ignited the recountre by asking our readers for their own six-word memoirs. They sent in short life stories in droves, from the bittersweet (“Cursed with cancer, blessed with friends”) and poignant (“I still make coffee for two”) to the inspirational (“Business school? Bah! Pop music? Hurrah”) and hilarious (“I like big butts, can’t lie”).

Here goes:

- No regrets, I carry on, remembering.

- I have clothes and shoes, closets bursting.

- I sleep, dog snores, sweet dreams.

- Mom can't remember anymore, I help.

- I smile, I remember, I love.

Please feel free to do this yourself. It's not as easy as it looks.

Peace

You're right, it's not as easy as it looks.

Good Monday morning, Odat !

It's amazing how accurate and poignant those memes are. 6 powerful words...

'Loved and tried and cried, survived.'

I was given this meme and I'm... pausing on it. I've done a bunch, then was encouraged by the hubby (writing taskmaster) to do one really good one... sigh. As always, yours are delicious!
