Happy Monkey Monday!

Happy Monkey Monday!

I need some sleep.
You know how dogs are supposed to be afraid of fireworks, and they get all sorts of nervous and quiet and hide?   Not Snotdog!  He thinks he can conquer the world when the fireworks start!  He thinks they're the enemy and he's out to get them.  He barks so much he loses his bark!  But that doesn't stop him!  Just when you think he's barked his lil snot head off,  and you're ready to fall into dreamland, more fireworks and more barking!
ALL.NIGHT.LONG.

So how was your weekend?

Peace

The same as yours... My 80lb. Airedale barks at fireworks and thunder, then she tries to hide in your back pocket...

the party on the 4th was great - I drank and ate too much - oh well. there were 2 dogs at the party - one ran into the house and straight to the basement as soon as the fireworks started - the other jumped up into the sky at every burst of light as though he wanted to catch them!

Hugs to Snotdog

and happy restful Monday to you.

Odat, yes in NYC firecrackers go on all night...scaring dogs or keeping dogs barking. I was in Boston and oddly enough I didn't hear any fireworks going off during the night.

Have a relaxing Monday, without any firework noises to wake up the Spudster, or you!

Our dog is scared to death of fireworks and tries to run away from them. We were at our island with 13 other boats and we had to take her below and close up the boat. We watched the Hilton fireworks from the bow of our boat. Get some rest honey. Big hug and lotsa lovies. :)

Spud is one patriotic dog. Maybe you can teach him to arf to the Star Spangled Banner.

A relaxing weekend was had by all in these parts where camaraderie and food (in that order) predominated.

Snotdog is so heroic! I admire his courage and barkability. Rosie was really freaked out too - but gratefully the men in the helicopters came by around 1 am - and shined their every loving light on the fire cracker exploders. hee hee.

Hope you get some rest!

Our dog is so used to gunfire that any noise on the fourth passed unnoticed.

Sleep was the order of the night.
