Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain!

The Day Before I Retire.

Well, I didn't have a post planned for today, so I suppose some randomness is due...(can you plan randomness?). I don't think so. It's raining here today. Is that a good sign that it's raining the day before I retire? I believe there's some folklore(or an old Chinese saying) that states: May the drops of rain fall down on you and frizz your hair. I never heard that one. Did you? OH well, I guess I'll continue to learn things even as I approach this day, the day before I officially retire. So how do I feel you may ask? Absolutely wonderful.......I'm not even going to look back. I will go back tho on April 11th for my party! Hint. NYC. Invited. All. Yippie. Yahoo. Doing the "I won't have to work anymore after tomorrow dance"!!!!!!

Peace

(I have a lurker that's been reading all my posts for long periods of time and refuses to comment....just today alone they've been on over 3 hours and have read over 50 pages of my blog......I wonder why? So just comment, will you?)

Just left Sarge Charlie's site. What a great post he did in your honor. I'm retired and believe me you are going to love not having to drag yourself to work anymore. It's wonderful. Just do all those things you've always wanted to do. If you are ever in California (central valley) let me know.

I don't like lurkers either. Kind of gives you the creeps doesn't it? Have a great day sweetie and here's a great big [[[[[HUG]]]]] honey. :)

Can't wait to hear about the luncheon!

Congratulations, Odat! You should do some traveling, like to San Francisco.

Does this mean you'll have more time for blogging? I'm counting on it.

That's not a lurker, that's a stalker. I don't have a site meter so I only know about the ones who comment.

Kimmie said...

Hi Odat!
I am a fellow New Yorker also. I live South of Buffalo. About 8 hours from the Big City. You probably know the place...we all use the term "you guys" for everything here.

I came from Roger's blog to wish you a very "Happy Retirement". May God Bless You with abundant Love and Happiness in your future.

Smiles,
Kimmie

Hurray! What an adventure you are on! :) Gosh... I was here in spirit yesterday - but not here to comment! :)

Yippee! I'll buy lunch if you come to Colorado!

Happy Retirement Odat!!

I agree .... lurkers are creepy. Hope you find out who it is. That stuff is not normal.

Julie said...

Oh yeah! A whole new phase of your life. How exciting!

soubriquet said...

ummm... lurkers?
I think that's a bit of a derogatory term. someone who comes and reads without commenting? I don't find them creepy or intimidating, I don't really think of them at all, except for a vague curiousity.
Ha. If all my readers left comments..... No, they come, read, and move on.
Sometimes it may look as though I am dwelling a lot on a post somewhere, hours at a time. However, what's more likely is that I've gone out, leaving the browser tab open... like I did recently for an entire weekend, I've no idea where on the internet my browser was, but if someone looked on sitemeter, it might have freaked them.
