"With the past, I have nothing to do, nor with the future. I live now."
-Ralph Walso Emerson
Acts of the Present:
-Stop and smell the roses whenever you can
- Appreciate ten things of beauty
- Call or write those you'd like to thank
- Catch yourself worrying and adjust the intensity
- Don't look back
- Live fully in the moment with an open heart
- Live as though this were the last day of your life
- Think about what your have (not necessarity in material terms) and don't focus on what you don't have
- Take the time to appreciate all you are
- Say "I love you" every day to those you love
- Be thankful for each new day...with it comes a new start....(and remember you can start you day over at any moment).
Peace

Good reminders. I'll try.

What great, great sentiments. Thanks Odat for starting my day by reminding me what should truly be my priorities in life!!
Have a great day.

(((((((Biker)))))))) thank you!!!!
michael....you're very welcome..and don't forget: prioritize!
This is great! Thank so much for sharing it.
I really need to start thinking about what I would do on the last day of my life. It wouldn't be laundry.
Nor would I start War and Peace again.
I can't fully do anything in the moment because a moment is so short that I run out of time to do it fully. Just teasing.
Live as if the last day. Yes. We so often hear "as if the first day." But yes the last day. I've been reading, off and on, Stephen Levine's "A Year to Live" (after my brother passed away last year), and that's what this tiny gem of a book is about. Live this year as if it's your last. I'm not sure I've kept to the discipline (I'm sure I have not), but it is a good practice when I do it.
- Say "I love you" every day to those you love
